We piloted PE and After School programs in the Golden articulation area with huge success. We would like to assist other communities in developing these programs by matching talented instructors with schools funded by designated or general grants. While the after school programs are self funding, PE Classes require grants dedicated to specific schools, programs or in general. To provide administration of this program in your area or to obtain a referral for an instructor, contact schools@lacrosseoutreach.org. To provide funding please email us at grants@lacrosseoutreach.org and provide a description of how you would like your generous donation deployed. If you would like to be an instructor please email us at employment@lacrosseoutreach.org and give us a brief description of your lacrosse back ground and why you would make a great role model and effective communicator to young people.
Our After School Programs are conducted by instructors referred by, and not employed by, the Lacrosse Outreach Foundation. They typically run for 6 weeks at elementary schools and all equipment needed, subject to availability, is provided free of charge to any parents completing our loan agreement and liability waiver. Ted Sullivan Memorial Fund Scholarships are available to any family that demonstrates a financial need. To obtain financial assistance please ask your after school program coordinator or the Instructor.
Our introductory PE Class programs typically run for three days and are conducted by instructors referred by, and not employed by, the Lacrosse Outreach Foundation. Instructors are paid by the Lacrosse Outreach Foundation through grants received designated to provide this service to a particular school, area or District. Some schools are able to fund guest instructors out of their own budget. This is a fabulous way to introduce an alternative sport to many school aged children, get them involved and grow area programs. |
