We have an active outreach program and would like to rapidly expand it and to facilitate any grantors interested in helping young people in any way they like that is consistent with our mission statement. We are a 501c3 nonprofit corporation and all donations may be tax deductible. 100% of all grants shall be used as directed by the Grantor and no administrative charges shall be assessed. Please contact us at grants@lacrosseoutreach.org if you would like more information about getting involved in our outreach assistance programs. Below is a brief description of our past and present outreach services.
The Ted Sullivan Memorial Fund ("TSMF") was established in 2001 in loving memory of Ted Sullivan by his family and friends. Ted was a great lacrosse player and coach and sadly lost a life long struggle to depression at a tragically young age. Ted was happiest when playing lacrosse, was related to the Founders of the West Side Lacrosse Club, Inc. and, although not from Colorado, had been a volunteer and participant at some of West Side's activities. Over $50,000 has been raised in Ted's memory and has been used to fund camp scholarships throughout the state of Colorado for beginners attending the Hot Shots Camps, children in need of equipment with a financial need, extra curricular activities for children enrolled in the Second Wind Fund's teen suicide prevention program in Jefferson County, loans to assist developing programs in their early stages in Jefferson County, the development of the first field hockey programs in Jefferson County and financial assistance ($15,000 in '04) to the needy in the Golden area as well as funding many other events and activities designed to create life building experiences for young people. To make a donation, or obtain additional information on the TSMF please contact us at grants@lacrosseoutreach.org .
The Second Wind Fund was created by the Green Mountain Presbyterian Church in September of 2002 following four suicides in nine months at a high school in Jefferson County. The Fund provides funds for emergency counseling for Jeffco students who are identified by their school counselors or administrators as being at-risk for suicide, and who do not have the financial resources to pay for therapy. To fund the extracurricular activities of children enrolled in the Second Wind Fund's counseling program please email grants@lacrosseoutreach.org . To fund the Second Wind Fund's counseling program please contact secondwindfund@prodigy.net . For more information on this incredible organization please go to www.thesecondwindfund.org .
The Lacrosse Outreach Foundation will administer all grants received at the direction of the grantor and assures that 100% of the money will be spent as directed and that no administrative fee will be charged. In addition to the TSMF and Second Wind Fund we can administer grants to fund any program, club, school or organization benefiting young people selected by the grantor.
