  About Lacrosse Outreach

Lacrosse Outreach's mission is to promote lacrosse in hopes of including young people in positive, life building activities, particularly those at risk.

The Lacrosse Outreach Foundation (the "Foundation") is a nonprofit organization, established in 1994, dedicated to providing quality programs and services geared towards getting and keeping young people involved in extra curricular activities, primarily boys and girls lacrosse. Ancillary
activities have included funding extra curricular activities for disadvantaged children in the Second Wind Fund's teen suicide prevention program, developing field hockey in the true spirit of Title IX by creating opportunities for girls while avoiding cuts in our boys programs, and acting as a conduit and administrator for grantors looking to financially assist the needy among us.

The Foundation began 12 years ago, under the name of the West Side Lacrosse Club, when Hank and Timmy Grubin and Seaver and Justine Baruch got a glimpse of lacrosse and asked their parents and friends to create a program. From that kernel of interest began the West Side youth program, the Jamboree, the Ted Sullivan Memorial Fund, Hot Shots Camps, sanctioning of lacrosse in Jeffco Schools, extensive equipment programs, fundraising programs, PE introductory lacrosse and field hockey classes, after school lacrosse programs, Golden, Green Mountain and Evergreen lacrosse Clubs, Golden Field Hockey Club, a substantial number of financial aid grants, and a myriad of fun events and community outreach programs benefiting school aged children. All of the operating clubs that West Side helped to start will soon be subsidiary corporations for tax purposes and we have changed the name of the nonprofit to more accurately reflect its operations to the Lacrosse Outreach Foundation.

The Ted Sullivan Memorial Fund has provided countless numbers of camp scholarships to young people throughout Colorado, self help loans to fledgling Jeffco programs, and free equipment and financial aid grants to many boys and girls in the Golden and West Side systems, and among other philanthropic pursuits. Please see the Grant section of this site to see how we can administer similar grants for your community and other needy organizations using our tax advantaged corporate structure.

Please use this site to help get involved in lacrosse, or our other philanthropic activities, and to help your community better the lives of its children and the children of Colorado.
